Mr Fabbro a current director of Marine Geo Pty Ltd, early in his career had worked arduously for a dangerous component of an offshore natural gas extraction project in a remote part of Australia. He was employed by the Texas USA based Jet Research Centre as part of the Woodside Petroleum’s North West Shelf project.
Subsequently Marine Geo Pty Ltd was established in 1991 as a natural sciences research subcontractor and to pursue creative environmental interpretation. Some of the first contracts included consultancies in the field of marine research on the Australian Great Barrier Reef. During the early 1990’s the company also undertook several environmental education projects on the north coast of NSW. In an effort to raise awareness of the environment the company was then established at the Epicentre in Byron Bay where the company’s dynamic innovation manifested in novel lightweight, functional lighting elements and unique giftware targeting the tourist sector.
In 1996 the company moved its operations to Sydney. It set up production at Blackwattle studios in Glebe and a retail outlet at The Rocks on Sydney harbour foreshore. It pioneered exciting creative environmental interpretation and undertook several commercial ornamental and feature lighting design, production and installation projects.
In the 2000’s the business again expanded focus to engage directly in various landscaping design projects and construction contracts where the creative aspirations of clients were often encouraged and realised.
Marine Geo Pty Ltd today continues its innovative tradition by combining its expertise in various areas. Recent ‘one off’ works include illuminated wall reliefs, fountains, statues and large scale landscape features. These features often inspire a greater understanding and appreciation for the natural environment.
Landscape feature project management and maintenance specialising in enhancing the amenity of the natural environment continues to be a primary focus of the company.
