This light sculpture concept is  uniquely Australian. It takes the form of colourful and dramatic interactive lighting. The  three themes developed are Marine for the Great Barrier Reef, Earth for the outback and Cosmic because of the exceptionally clear skies  typical of  Australia

Sculptured lighting elements include small giftware such as aroma therapy lanterns, various sized feature table lamps,  individually moulded wall lights, and large wall reliefs for commercial applications.

My aim in this art work is to inspire the imagination of clear marine worlds, pollution free night skies and distant extraterrestrial landscapes. 

By combining different natural elements within a single lighting element, the beauty inherent  in unique  natural form can  be  accentuated.  

This art form discovers and experiments with the combination of natural form, objects and light. In doing so I try to present and accentuate an intrinsic beauty in natural form resulting from biological and geological processes. In its ultimate expression it is combined with other forms of  lighting to produce unique night atmospheres and to explore new spatial dimensions. 

The artwork offers an alternative and accessible, yet authentic, opportunity to identify with and appreciate natural form and environmental processes. The sculptural concept  has applications in architecture, interior design, and as an informal environmental education tool.
